I'm joining The Information!
Starting next month, I'll be the publication's newest venture capital and startups reporter.
After 3+ transformative and thrilling years at TechCrunch, I have some exciting news!
I’ve accepted a role at The Information, a leading business publication that covers technology both tirelessly and thoughtfully. (Numbers and nuance, anyone?) I’ve been inspired by The Information’s scoops-driven journalism for years now, but I’m especially in awe of the work the team has accomplished during this critical inflection point in tech — from investigative profiles on some of the biggest voices in venture, to scoops covering the downturn’s real impact on the unicorn club.
It’s an insanely important, and exhilarating, time to be a tech reporter so I couldn’t be more amped for this new chapter. Thanks to Laura Mandaro, Amir Efrati and Jessica Lessin for the opportunity.
Of course, this change means a bittersweet goodbye to the newsroom where I’ve spent most of my post-graduation career. A big thank you to TechCrunch for helping me grow from a cub reporter to a senior reporter over the past few years. The people helped me through many professional firsts: my first scoop, my first long-form feature story, my first valuation-run bull cycle and my first layoffs-ridden bear cycle. The platform changed my life: from running a weekly newsletter to hosting the flagship podcast to, yes, interviewing Kevin Hart on stage and making him just the correct amount of uncomfortable in front of a packed Moscone hall. There are too many thank you’s to even try to name everyone who played an impactful role in my career — which should give you a sense of how amazing of a team exists at TC. Wherever you start your career has the power to shape how you think about the world, yourself, and the path ahead. I feel lucky that TC, the special place that it is, taught me about voice, earnestness, and curiosity-driven coverage.
At The Information, I’m still on the same beat in the same city. I’ll continue to cover the way that capital moves through Silicon Valley’s networks and the clashes and characters along the way. In my new role, I’ll focus on deeply-researched features and scoops, working with journalists I’ve long admired! So sources, you can still tip me! My Signal is +1 925 271 0912.
I start next month!
In the meantime, I’ll be taking some much-needed rest, traveling, reading, and hopefully, not checking Twitter. Talk soon, and thank you for reading along. Always.

they're lucky to get you!
in the least creepy way possible, i've been a big follower and fan of your journey - from settling into TC and its podcasts and navigating the pandemic, to owning the newsletter and being in my inbox every Sunday with such an accessible yet sharp perspective on all things tech. as a fellow SF 20something woman in tech, your work and personality have kept this space interesting!
to say i'm excited for you (and proud of you?!) is an understatement - this is huge and i'm looking forward to (trying) to follow your work at the Information (trying because no way i'm going to be able to get around that paywall...). keep crushing it!
